Gujarat Titans who made their debut in the Indian Premier League this year clinched the trophy with a thrilling one-run win over defending champions Mumbai Indians in the final at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday. Chasing a stiff target of 199 set by Mumbai Gujarat were boosted by half-centuries from skipper Suresh Raina (57) and Dinesh Karthik (56) but it was left-arm seamer Basil Thampi who held his nerve in the final over to finish with figures of 2/23 and help his side cross the line.

Will IPL have more games from 2023?

There is no definite answer as to whether IPL will have more games from 2023. The league has been expanding steadily since its inception in 2008 and it is possible that it will continue to do so in the future. However there are no concrete plans to add more games at this time.
